How did you become interested in Adventure Racing?

For me it started eight years ago when I saw Eco Challenge Argentina on Discovery channel. To be quite honest I watched almost as one does when passing a car wreck! I didn’t really want to watch but I had to look! I was in such awe of these athletes. It was simply amazing to see what they were capable of subjecting themselves to. The more I watched the more impressed and inspired I became with watching the teams at the “back of the pack”. There would be podium finish, no prize money or lucrative sponsorship deals for them. Yet they continued on while I kept asking myself why!

How long have you been racing?

I did my first sprint race in 2001 and then the craziness began!

Describe your favorite AR experience(s) to date.
Crossing the finish line at Primal Quest albeit unranked.
Hallucinating during PQ and seeing a guinea pig family out for a walk on their hind legs nonetheless!!

Describe your least favorite AR experience(s).

I don’t really have a least favorite race experience. Some races go better than others, but I find that there is always something you take away from the experience, even if it’s wow I’d never do that again!!
